Making sense of social media
by Damon

We know that millions people now have a Facebook account – an average of one million new users sign up each month in the UK. We know too that there are 175 million registered Twitter accounts, and that Google+ has already become the fastest growing social network. But if you’re not quite sure where on earth this is all heading, then you need our new Grab-a-Byte series.
We’ve asked a number of key communications influencers to give us a quick insight into what they think about social media, along with their personal pick of people worth following. Each Grab-a-Byte video is compressed into a couple of minutes – enough to snack on without feeling over-faced.
First up is David Edmundson-Bird, Director of Executive Programmes at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School (@groovegenerator). Check out the two people he thinks you should follow on Twitter, his predictions about Google+, and his opinion on the ultimate question – iPhone vs. Android.
Future Grab-a-Byte episodes will feature Michael Taylor of Insider Media and Steve Kuncewicz of Gateley LLP with more to follow. If you have any questions that you’d like to see us ask future influencers, why not drop us a Tweet to @Madhousehq adding #grababyte and we’ll add them to our list of questions.
