Is the iPhone feeling its age?

by Betty

While perusing the Mashable website this morning, I stumbled on a very interesting article about how the iPhone is now for – how can I put it? – old fogies.

Of course, this sweeping statement was made by none other than the acting president of HTC America, who had casually asked his daughter’s dormitory friends which phones they had. None of them apparently had an iPhone, as this was something their dad would have.

So this brings up a good question: are iPhones suddenly becoming ‘uncool’?

Personally, I don’t think the fact that only a handful of my friends have iPhones is anything to do with the ‘coolness’ of the phone. I think it is to do with the price. HTC and other Android phones are a lot cheaper than the iPhone, making them more accessible for young people on a lower income.

Or maybe I’m just not cool enough.
