In just a few short years, social media has transformed the marketing landscape. As an integrated agency, Madhouse has worked hard to understand the implications so that we can give our clients the benefit of our knowledge; for many, it is already an essential element in the marketing mix. On the other hand, the use of social media is sometimes presented as a miraculous cure for all ills – something that just needs to be mentioned in order for it to work its magic.
So we thought a great way to help marketing people get a grip on the facts and fictions behind social media would be to hold an informal but information-rich seminar here at Madhouse in the heart of Manchester. It will be the first in a regular series of expert-led seminars on a range of up-to-the-minute topics.
For the launch event however, we’re inviting social media specialists Paul Fabretti from Let’s Gabba and Bruce Thomas from modern-english to give our guests the lowdown on how social media can be put to work for business.
We’ll also be hearing from Rick Guttridge of Smoking Gun, who will be giving a short presentation on getting the most out of Twitter and LinkedIn in the business-to-business sector.
The date for your diary is July 6th 2010, and the place to be is the boardroom at Madhouse HQ. Where, incidentally, you can also enjoy one of the most spectacular skyline views in Manchester – all for free.
If you’d like to come along, simply send an email to beth.humberston@madhousehq.co.uk. We look forward to seeing you, and navigating the exciting world of social media together.
