Phil Delaney
Financial Director
Phil worked in the finance departments of some of Britain’s biggest companies before taking charge of the adding machine and leather-bound ledger at Madhouse. And after a day spent squinting at columns of figures, what better way to relax than with his other passion – the cryptic delights of the daily crossword.

Pete McCollough
Deputy Creative Director
A multi-skilled designer and illustrator, Pete ensures that our creative output looks as good as it should. He’s also rarely seen without his so-retro-they-hurt headphones, and as he conjures up his visual magic, he grooves to a secret inner soundscape the like of which we can only imagine.

Jenna Wilson
Account Executive
There are many things that Jenna is never seen without. One is an artwork print-out in need of signing off. Another is a furrowed brow as she keeps a multitude of essential account handling tasks at the front of her mind simultaneously. And finally there’s her lipstick, her ‘social survival kit’ as she calls it. Mwah!

Doug Fisher
Senior Copywriter
Not for Doug the bland syntactical concoctions of lesser copywriters. He’s a writer who likes his words to pack a real punch – speaking of which, here he is with a bottle of Dave’s Insanity Sauce, his favourite condiment. He particularly likes it because chillies are the only food in the world that can be weaponised apparently – just like his sentences in fact.

Sarah Challinor
Office Manager
The first voice you hear when you call Madhouse will generally be Sarah’s, so it’s just as well it’s a good one. She loves singing, enjoys regular lessons to keep her voice in trim, and rumour has it that she once took a few steps on the long road to a performance in front of a certain Mr Cowell…

Richard Murdoch
Account Manager
Richard came to Madhouse fresh from our graduate recruitment scheme and has matured over the years into a skilled, if slightly golf obsessed, account manager. He says his “dream fourball would be Seve, Gary Player and Faldo at Pebble Beach”. Know what a fourball is? Answers on a postcard please.

Betty Baldwin
Junior Account Executive
Betty’s grasp of social media meant we ‘Liked’ her as soon as she turned up to our graduate recruitment event. She is now an indispensable team member, though her status as a plugged-in social butterfly may be exaggerated, given that her preferred evening’s entertainment is a night in with a few kid flix. ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’ anyone?

-
Peter Craven
MD and Client Services Director
Madhouse co-founder Pete is used to taking a few hard knocks, as when he isn’t overseeing the agency account management team, he’s nursing his fierce passion for rugby having played to semi-pro level in times gone by – and still playing for Chester Veterans. Or so he claims when he turns up to work with a black eye.
X
-
Martin Smith
Digital Operations Manager
Martin leads the digital production team at Madhouse, including the designers and front-end developers who bring our digital ideas to life. Though for someone whose daily life is all digital, he remains wedded to some decidedly traditional pleasures: pint of real ale in the sunshine anyone?
X
-
Phil Hammel
Senior Digital Designer
Phil joined Madhouse a few years ago as a young design graduate, and since then has helped us create a host of successful campaigns. His deep knowledge of the digital realm adds some serious skills to our mix, while his love of Mixed Martial Arts means we always speak to him politely.

-
Simone White
Finance Manager
As finance manager, Simone has a great head for figures of course, but she’s also good at lots more than keeping the books balanced. She loves kick boxing too, a shared passion that helps her bond with her younger siblings while also, dare we say it, helping to keep late payers in check.

Beth Humberston
Account Manager
An experienced account manager with the ability to keep clients on an upward trajectory, no sooner has Beth finished work than she has an irrepressible urge to send herself on a downward trajectory – skiing down the snow-covered mountains of Europe. And it’s definitely the fresh air she loves, not the food and wine that follow.
X
-
Phil Rogerson
MD and Creative Director
As Madhouse co-founder and Creative Director, Phil guides the agency’s creative output while still finding time to act as Chairman for Northwich Round Table, run a junior football club and follow the never-ending soap opera that most of us know better as Manchester City FC.

Mike Yan
Senior Finished Artist
A well functioning Apple Mac is key to Mike’s role at Madhouse, as he gives our artwork the benefit of his perfectionist’s touch. Funny then that once he gets home, a badly functioning Apple Mac is what makes his heart beat faster, as he enjoys fixing defunct technology and selling his refurbished gadgets on the world’s favourite auction site.

-
Jeff Dillon
Senior Art Director
Whether he’s plucking killer Toyota ad concepts out of thin air or sketching up scamps for a brand new client, Jeff always saves a bit of head space for his beloved Newcastle United. In fact he takes his support for the Magpies so seriously, even his hair is black and white.

-
Clare Briscall
Planning Director
Strategic thinking and rigorous planning are Clare’s specialisms, but she also loves to find inspiration and escape in the pages of glossy fashion magazines, a childhood passion that continues to cast an aspirational spell on her all these years later. Though how many years, we’re not saying.
X
-
Angela Ellis
Senior Designer
Ange used to be a designer for both the BBC and Granada TV, but is now very happy to be doing her stuff for Madhouse, usually to a soundtrack consisting of The Cure’s greatest hits. She’s a massive fan of the band, and is seen here with the signed shirt Robert Smith wore on their 1998 US tour. If Robert would like it back, he knows where to come.
X
-
Damon Fairclough
Head of Copy
Formerly a senior writer for Sony, Damon has over 20 years’ professional copywriting experience, but is particularly proud of his first significant writing job – a book about Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre which he still pores over with a reverence more appropriate to the Dead Sea Scrolls.
X
-
Lucy Dixon
Senior Account Manager
With years of experience helping our clients achieve great results, the secret of Lucy’s permanent smile and deep inner calm has only recently come to light. It turns out she’s been tying herself up in knots on her yoga mat for a good ten years which, ironically, she thinks is a good a way to unwind.
X
-
Stuart Hornby
Account Director
Stuart currently oversees our international healthcare and retail client accounts, but when he has time to put the account servicing behind him for a while, he likes nothing better than to head out to the country with his family and spend a few nights under the stars. Although the family would prefer a Premier Inn.
X
-
Helen Walker
Account Director
Helen looks after our automotive, technology and property clients, deftly keeping a number of valued accounts on the boil. She’s no doubt helped by her experience in the kitchen at home where she loves to relax with an apron, a chopping board and a set of seriously sharp knives.
X
-
Philippa Gledhill
Planning Executive
The meticulous research that Philippa carries out within our planning department helps keep us tuned up like a high performance machine. Which is appropriate, as race-loving Philippa is a pit-pass toting veteran of the 2009 Australian Grand Prix, and idolises Fernando Alonso (having dumped Michael Schumacher for driving a different car or something).
X
-
Suzanne Morton
Senior Finished Artist
Suzanne’s eye for detail is what makes her a superlative finished artist and an invaluable member of the Madhouse team. And being a super-proud mum of possibly the world’s cutest baby, her eye for detail also enables her to spot the molecule of Weetabix on his nose in this otherwise perfectly heart-melting photograph.

-
Mike Perkins
Senior Finished Artist
When not working at Madhouse, mild mannered artworker and retouching genius Big Mike P loves nothing more than escaping into the dark and dangerous world of graphic novels – or as his wife puts it, “stealing the kids’ comics.” Now, having seen him dressed as Banana Man, do we believe Mike or his wife?
